Total USA Medals won at 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
The USA Women’s Hockey Team skated to winning the Silver Medal for the second time in a row. They won the Silver Medal last time in Vancouver, and this year in Sochi. The event where the USA won the most medals was in Freestyle Skiing (7 Medals). The USA also won a total 5 Medals in Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding. The total number of USA Medals won at the 2014 Winter Olympics was 28.

The USA took all three Medals in Downhill Skiing-Slopestyle at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Nicholas Goepper, the Bronze Medalist, has also won 2 Gold Medals (2013 & 2014) and one Silver Medal (2012) at the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado. Gus Kenworthy is from Colorado.

Jamie Anderson, from Lake Tahoe, California; is also no stranger to Colorado Winter Sports as she has won a total of 4 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals, and 2 Bronze Medals in Snowboarding Slopestyle at the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado from 2006 to 2014. On Sunday, February 9th, 2014; Jamie Anderson became the first Women’s Snowboarder to win the Gold Medal in Women’s Snowboarding Slopestyle at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia; one day after Sage Kotsenburg won the very first Gold Medal in Men’s Snowboarding Slopestyle.

On February 8, 2014; at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia; Sage Kotsenburg became the first Olympic Snowboarder to win a Gold Medal in Snowboarding Slopestyle in the History of the Winter Olympics. He is no stranger to Winter Sports in the State of Colorado. In 2011, he competed at the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado, and won a Bronze Medal in Snowboarding Big Air. The very next year at the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado, he won the Silver Medal in Snowboarding Slopestyle.
